About Lerryn

Lerryn is 5 minutes from the ancient tin mining town of Lostwithiel and fifteen minutes from Fowey, the historic sailing harbour town. It is ideally situated for visiting the Eden Project, the Camel Trail, the Lost Gardens of Heligan, the Maritime Museum in Falmouth, the Tate at St Ives,  Newquay Airport is 25 minutes and it is 5 minutes to the Lostwithiel train station which is on the mainline from Paddington. There is a pub in the village and the well known Lerryn River Stores with Post Office selling quality local produce, essential goods and its own food served on the green. You can stay in one of our luxurious and contemporary holiday lets and the local area is fascinating and apart from the local attractions there are many leisure activities. Restaurants abound with the delightful Trewithen in Lostwithiel, the Globe Inn, Rick Stein's in Padstow, Jamie Oliver's 15 at Watergate Bay and many others. .

Lerryn Activities

There are so many fascinating things to do around Lerryn from walking to fishing to canoeing to sailing and then of course all the local attractions. You will not be bored! There are six circular walks around Lerryn ranging from 2 miles to 5 miles and a booklet is available in the Stores with maps and points of interest. You can hire canoes or go in supervised groups with http://www.encountercornwall.com who are situated on the river bank. Flexible day permits for Trout, Sea Trout, Mullet and occasional Salmon. Salmon - 1 April to 15 December. Trout/Sea Trout 1 April to 30 September. Any method. No more than 1 Salmon, 2 Trout or 2 Sea Trout to be retained per day. Permits from Lerryn Post Office.
